Volume 1 of 12
Fracture is a 4-minute multidimensional ambient soundscape which I am meticulously fragmenting into 180 sonic cubes for your listening pleasure (or displeasure, as it may be). The fragments are arranged on a Euclidean 3-torus, perceived in 3-dimensional space as a rectangular cuboid measuring 40min x 24min x12min. The fragments may be experienced sequentially along any axis in order to achieve a more distinct continuity. They may also be played in random order or even simultaneously in order to discover their subtle similarities and differences.
Composed and produced on the 2-dimensional surface of my iPad 4.
