This started out as experimentation with Risset rhythms, which involve an audio illusion where a beat sounds like it is accelerating or decelerating perpetually. I discovered a looping app with no apparent upper bpm limit, so unlike Risset rhythms, the tempo in this track actually does accelerate and decelerate perpetually, peaking at around 15,000 bpm.
